Easy Braided Bun Tutorial

Easy Braided Bun Tutorial

Braided Bun Dainty Gold Necklace Mom Style Lanterns in the sky Toddler Style Rise Festival Floating LanternsIf you’ve been following along for awhile, you know that I am all about easy hairstyles. There are those days when I honestly just don’t have the time to worry about my hair & let’s be honest, those days happen far too often over here. I thought I would share one of my new favorites ways to wear my hair & I hope you guys enjoy this easy braided bun tutorial as much as I do 🙂 Also, these photos were taken at The Rise Festival last year & I never had the chance to post them because I got so sick. This was the day that we found out I was pregnant with baby #2 & it was just so perfect to get to go send up lanterns into the sky. If you’ve ever seen the Disney film, Tangled, you know exactly what I’m talking about! If you haven’t seen that movie, let’s just pretend I’m not a 25 year old who still watches Disney films 😉

DVF Runway Tutorial

DVF NYFW Tutorial

If you’ve been following my blog lately, you know that I got super sick the night before I was supposed to fly to NYFW & had to cancel my trip… Although I was bummed about missing it, I was so happy that I could follow along online. (Thank goodness for the Internet!!) My favorite makeup look was definitely the colorful eye at the DVF show! It was such a fun look & the pop of color really complemented the collection. I knew I wanted to re-create at least one look from the runway & the second I saw the bright eye from DVF, I knew that was the one I wanted to emulate. I love how easy this look is to create & love that it would also be perfect for a holiday look as well (just add some eye liner!). I hope you guys enjoy!!

For the face, I used my current go-to products from Walgreens that I used in this past tutorial. I focused on bronzed cheeks to re-create that golden skin from the DVF runway & the No7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer worked perfectly!

DVF Runway TutorialOnce the face was completed, I went in with my Circa Color Saturated Eye Crayon to get a nice base for the colorful eye. I love this eye crayon because it’s easy to apply & it helps keep my eye shadow in place all day long.

DVF Runway TutorialNext up is the Colour Prevails Eye Shimmer Powder in the shade Emerald. This shadow is THE perfect product to re-create the DVF look! I love that this product is super buildable because you can wear it as a light shade or a super bright shade. I applied this all over my lid, the inner corner of my eye & the lower lash line with the small brush it comes with & then used a fluffy blending brush to blend out the edges so that I didn’t have any harsh lines. I then went in with the lightest shade in the Mosaic Bronzer to give some depth to the crease.

DVF Runway TutorialLast but most definitely not least, mascara! I still love this No7 Lash Impact Mascara because it not only lengthens my lashes but it also gives them a nice amount of volume. Which is always a win in my book & no look is complete without a good mascara.

DVF Runway TutorialI hope that you guys enjoy this fun look as much as I do. It’s always fun to mix things up a bit & try a pop of color!

Messy Half Fishtail Braid

Messy Half Fishtail Braid

Full Tutorial HERE

I’m going to be honest with you guys here.. (When am I not!?) I am secretly SO lazy when it comes to doing my hair. I know, I’m a fashion & beauty blogger, I should LOVE doing my hair. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely those days when I love to take my time with getting ready but most of the time, I would prefer to get ready as quick as possible. That could partially have something to do with the fact that I have a 2 1/2 year old who needs constant supervision & I would much rather spend time with him than spending an hour on my hair. (He’s just so dang cute & irresistible!) Moral of this rant, I like hairstyles that are quick, easy & most importantly, don’t require heat. This messy half fishtail braid is the perfect option for those days when you don’t want to take a lot of time on your hair or when you’re just lazy & can’t be bothered. Am I the only one who feels this way!? I sure hope not but if I am, just forget I said anything at all 😉 Make sure & head over HERE for the full tutorial & I would love it if you subscribed to my channel as well 🙂

No Makeup Makeup

No Makeup Makeup

You know those days when you just don’t feel like getting ready but you have to go out in public? Yeah, those are the worst. I feel like I’ve been having those days a lot lately (especially when we were on our trip up to Canada, who wants to put on a lot of makeup while camping & on a road trip!?) I’ve discovered some amazing products that are quick & create that flawless “No Makeup Makeup” look. If you guys are anything like me, you don’t like to leave the house completely bare faced. Not that I’m ashamed of how I look without makeup, I just prefer to have a little something on. Plus, I’m extremely crazy about wearing sunscreen on my face & I prefer to have multiple layers. If you have melasma, you feel me on that one!! I am completely obsessed with this Laneige BB Cushion. I don’t normally love BB creams but I honestly can’t find anything wrong with this particular one. It’s incredibly easy to use & gives flawless coverage while looking completely natural & being good for your skin. If you’re in the market for a natural looking foundation/BB cream, I highly recommend this one!

PS. I wanted to apologize for the lack of posts over the past little while. After being out of town for 3 1/2 weeks, my blog was completely spammed/hacked & it took some figuring out to fix the issue. I’m crossing my fingers that the problems are completely resolved so I can be back to regular posting! If you have any post requests, make sure & let me know so I can get those up for you guys!!

Products Used:

Laneige BB Cushion

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

Neutrogena Mineral Sheer

Bare Minerals Pop of Passion in Posy Passion

ColourPop Double Dip

Physicians Formula Nude Wear

IT Cosmetics Brow Power

Jouer Mascara in Brun

Jouer Lip Enhancing Conditioning Treatment

NYFW Makeup Tutorial

NYFW Makeup Tutorial

Tickets are booked! I’m beyond excited to fly to NYC to attend NYFW again! I went for the first time in February & had such an incredible experience. Thank goodness it won’t be freezing cold this time 🙂 On another note, I wanted to put together a little NYFW Makeup Tutorial for you guys this time around! Since it’s always a bit crazy trying to get around to shows & meetings, I am already planning out beauty looks that are easy to accomplish but still make me feel comfortable & confident. Below you will find a little step by step of one of my favorite natural looks with a slightly edgy, emerald cat eye. I’m using all affordable products from Walgreens for this look & I know you guys will love them! Hope you guys enjoy!

NYFW Makeup Tutorial NYFW Makeup Tutorial1.) Since I’m flying across country, my skin is going to be dry (airplanes always dry out my skin!). I’m doubling up on my face serums because I want to start off with soft, smooth & glowing skin. I love this Botanics Smoothing Facial Oil as well as the No. 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum. They both make my skin feel amazing!

NYFW Makeup Tutorial2.) I’m kind obsessed with highlighting these days & I love this Botanics Radiance Highlighter Pen. I have other highlighter pens that I enjoy but I really love this one because it provides great coverage as well as highlighting. Bye dark circles!!

NYFW Makeup Tutorial NYFW Makeup Tutorial3.) Next up, No. 7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer – You guys know that I always use bronzer because I never get sun on my face (aka I’m incredibly pale :)) I really like this bronzer because it has different bronze shades as well as a couple blush shades, which makes it a 2 in 1 product & I love that.

NYFW Makeup Tutorial

NYFW Makeup Tutorial4.) On to the eyes! Using this Circa Eye Crayon, I’m applying the shade Sparkling Citrine all over my lid to open up the eye area & make my eyes look bright & awake. After that, I’m applying this Circa Vivid Vinyl Eye Lining Fluid in Vibrant Emerald to achieve a slight cat eye effect. I love the formula of this liner because it’s easy to apply & doesn’t smear everywhere. Which makes it perfect for us girls who aren’t the best when it comes to liquid liner 🙂 If you want to jazz up your look a bit more, I highly recommend the Colour Prevails Eye Shimmer Powder! They have really fun shades for all over color or even just a slight shimmer.

NYFW Makeup Tutorial5.) To complete the eyes, I’m applying a few coats of this No. 7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control Mascara to really thicken up my lashes. Don’t forget your bottom lashes!

NYFW Makeup Tutorial6.) Last but definitely not least, the lips & nails! For day to day, I love a good pink gloss to finish off the look (on my lips & nails). This Lustrous Lip Polish by Circa in the shade Chiffon Glow is the perfect pink & a nice opaque formula. I love a great Essie polish & this shade Romper Room is definitely a new favorite!

VOILA! We’re finished with this natural, girl next door look! I hope you guys enjoyed! Can’t wait to share my experience at fashion week with you guys 🙂

If you guys haven’t noticed yet, I recently got some clip in extensions! I’ve had extensions on & off since I was about 14 & whenever I need a change for my hair, I find myself coming right back to them. If you guys are looking for clip ins for yourself, I highly recommend Luxy Hair because they are such great quality & unlike some clip ins, each weft is the perfect thickness & the clips are good quality.  Over the years, I have tried plenty of different extensions & these ones are probably my favorites so far. I was sent the ash blonde set but had them custom colored because I have a few different shades of blonde in my hair. A massive thank you goes out to my hair colorist Kadi who has been coloring my hair (& extensions) since I was 16! She’s the best!!

Now about this tutorial.. I honestly have been wearing my hair like this for the past week. I should be embarrassed about that but it’s just so quick & convenient that I can’t help myself. I also love that this hairstyle doesn’t require heat (unless you want to curl the front pieces like I did) because every Summer, I try to take a break from curling my hair as much & try to find new hairstyles that don’t require heat. My hair gets damaged way too easily & it’s finally getting longer so I definitely don’t want to mess that up! Plus, we are headed on a road trip over the next few weeks & I don’t want to stress about curling my hair everyday. For reals though, we’re camping part of our trip & I won’t even have electricity to curl my hair haha. So if you’re not already following along, head on over & follow me on Instagram & Snapchat (username: sheridangregory) so you can see all of our adventure!! It’s going to be a good one! 🙂

I’ve been lucky enough to receive some incredible beauty products to try out lately & I was beyond thrilled when I received the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette! The UD Naked palettes have become cult products in the beauty industry & every time a new one comes out, people go crazy for it. I honestly love this palette because you can create a bold smoky eye (obviously!) but for all of you who are skeptical because you don’t wear smoky eyes that often, you can create some pretty awesome everyday looks as well. There are both matte & shimmer shades in this palette, as well as cool tones & warm tones. The shades are nice & pigmented so you get a good payoff color wise. Overall, I think this palette is a complete win & the packaging is by far my favorite out of all of the Naked Palettes! If you’re curious about it, I would highly recommend trying it out for yourself 🙂

I know there are about a million tutorials using this new palette out there already. So, why not add another to the mix? Right!? I’m secretly hoping you guys agreed with me on that one 🙂 I know this palette is made to be used for smoky eye looks but I wanted to show you guys how versatile it is & use it for a fun everyday look. I’ve started using a few other new products & I just want to share the products I’m loving with you guys through these Get Ready With Me (GRWM) videos. I would love it if you guys subscribed to my channel to see more & if there is ever anything specific you guys want to see, make sure & let me know! Thank you all for the support & love over the past couple years. I love sharing my life with you guys & making new friends around the world! I hope you enjoy this everyday gold eye tutorial!

Makeup For Photo Shoots

Makeup for Photo Shoots

1024 576 Sheridan Gregory

With being a blogger comes a lot of photos & videos. With a lot of photos & videos comes a lot of makeup. With a lot of makeup comes a lot of tips & tricks learned over the years. Moral of the story? I have now become a beauty junky & I am constantly on the search for new products & methods to create the perfect makeup look. I’m definitely not a beauty guru but I’ve come a long way 🙂

I have been asked on quite a few occasions for tutorials on how I do my makeup in certain blog posts. I’ve been trying to film more Get Ready With Me (GRWM) videos so that you guys can see what products I’m using for each look & how I’m applying the makeup. (SO if you aren’t subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, head on over & subscribe now!) I got asked on Instagram last week if I would film a video on how I do my makeup for photo shoots & I immediately accepted because I thought it was a great idea for a video. Back in the day, I didn’t wear much makeup & honestly up until the past couple of years, I was still trying to figure out how to do my makeup. After years of modeling, you would have thought I had it figured out but it took a lot of experimenting with different products to finally learn how to do it in a way that made me feel comfortable & confident.

If you have any other video suggestions that you guys would like to see, feel free to leave them in the comments below or comment on an Instagram photo. I love hearing from you guys & I especially love creating content that you guys really want to see. I’m constantly trying to come up with new ideas & looks to make this space a creative outlet for not only myself but for you guys as well. I hope you guys enjoy the video!
