Over the past few years, I’ve realized how important self-care is for my physical and mental health. If you’re not pampering yourself, I highly recommend you come up with a routine that makes you feel happy and healthy. If you’re curious what my self-care routine looks like, then here are some of my at-home spa day essentials.
For a true spa experience, a facial steamer is a must! Not only does it hydrate the skin and feel luxurious, but it opens the pores and allows your skin to better absorb serums and moisturizers.
If you suffer from dry lips then I highly recommend a lip scrub like this brown sugar one. It exfoliates and removes dead skin cells – just look for one with an oil in it so it leaves your lips feeling soft and supple.
I love giving myself a facial massage – I find it so relaxing and it has a lot of anti-aging benefits as well. I like using a gua sha to stimulate circulation, relieve tension and reduce puffiness. A gua sha also promotes lymphatic drainage and improves the appearance of the skin’s elasticity.
I also love using a facial roller, especially after cooling it in a fridge. If I’m ever feeling puffy or swollen, I’ll use a cold facial roller and it feels amazing! It also has similar benefits as the gua sha.
