Homeschool Daily Routine

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

With all of the madness going on in the world right now, I think we’re all looking for a little bit of info to get us through this time at home. I am not a homeschool expert by any means but we have homeschooled for 3 years now (technically online school for 2 of those years) & I figured I would give you a glimpse into our daily routine for any of you struggling with having the kids home all day because guys.. It is a HARD adjustment (especially when it wasn’t a voluntary decision for so many of you). Good news is that with a bit of structure, you will get into a routine & make it work!

homeschool routine

7am – Wake up & Eat breakfast

7:45am – Get ready for the day

Getting dressed & ready for the day is key for productivity! I know it might sound a bit odd since you’re not leaving your home but trust me, sitting around in pjs all day every day isn’t great for your mental health & productivity.

8am – Get wiggles out

Basically free play before getting school started so that the kids feel like they have a bit of creative play before having to sit down & focus.

8:30am – Begin school

Kannon does his schooling online through an online school so all of his curriculum is online or in resources given to us through his school/teacher. Hendrix is currently doing homeschool preschool so we come up with different learning activities for him on our own & use a variety of different resources (similar to what we used for Kannons homeschool preschool). Let me know if you’re interested in the resources & books/activities we use & I can put together a blog post on that for you ladies!

9:30am – Take a break / Get our bodies moving

The key to doing homeschool or online school is to take breaks! Especially in the beginning & with younger children. When we first started homeschooling we took breaks every 15-20 minutes & we still take breaks between classes just to give their minds a minute to rest & reset. It might take longer to finish but I promise it will save you & them a lot of frustration 🙂

9:45am – School

11:45am – Eat Lunch

12:30pm – Finish school

Make sure to continue taking breaks whenever necessary. We don’t follow a hard & fast rule with these times because some days Kannon has live classes with his teacher or more of a work load but I wanted to give you a range of how long we do each thing for as an example.

2pm – Free play

The boys typically dive into their toys & run around like little maniacs haha but they play together really well (most of the time ;)) for an hour or so!

3pm – Arts & Crafts

3:30pm – Screen time

They typically sit down to watch tv or play on their tablets. These tablets are amazing & I don’t stress too much about the content on them. I was a bit iffy on if I would like them or not & I am beyond happy that we decided to purchase them over a year ago because the boys are obsessssed. I can’t recommend them enough!

4:30pm – Family Time

We play games together, watch a movie, run around, do puzzles, have nerf tournaments, etc.

5:30/6pm – Dinner prep / Dinner

7pm – Bedtime Routine

7:30pm – Bedtime

The boys are in bed & typically asleep by 7:30pm & then we get a few hours to hang out as just adults & regain our sanity from a busy day since we work from home most of the time & have kids at home all day 🙂

Let me know if you guys would like a post on our favorite resources for doing school at home with our 3 year old & 7 year old!

One of my favorite things to chat with you guys about is skincare & when I discover new products that I fall in love with, I can’t wait to share them with you all! They have 4 Australian clay masks that are all absolutely wonderful; Matcha Tea Clarifying Clay Mask, Cranberry Pore Perfecting Clay Mask, Blood Orange Brightening Clay Mask & Manuka Honey Cleansing Clay Mask. simple christmas traditions

5 Christmas Traditions

819 1024 Sheridan Gregory

*Special thanks to Zappos for sponsoring this post!

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that Christmas is my favorite holiday. If you’ve followed along for a little while now, you know that I love celebrating this time of year & I love the little traditions we have. These 5 Christmas traditions are my absolute favorite part of the holiday season & some of them might come across as very basic but I genuinely love celebrating in the most simple ways!

1. Christmas Pajamas & Slippers

This is a tradition that I’ve done my entire life thanks to my momma & I look forward to it every year. There is something so fun about getting new pajamas & it’s such a simple way to get into the holiday spirit! The past few years I’ve added to the pajama tradition & thrown in a new pair of slippers for all of us because I am obsessed with cozy slippers. I seem to have passed that obsession down to my boys as well because they love cozy slippers just as much as I do & get so excited to wear them! We were all so excited to partner with Zappos this holiday season to celebrate their 20th Anniversary & share this exclusive color of UGG that are only available on – They are beyond comfortable & I love this fun navy variation! These would make the perfect gift so head on over to check them out if you or anyone you know is interested in cozy slippers or shoes!

2. Christmas Movies

We watch as many holiday movies as we can throughout the month of December & I never get sick of them! We love all of the classics, as well as all of the cheesy Hallmark & Netflix movies that come out every year. You can find us curled up on the couch most evenings eating popcorn, drinking hot chocolate (white hot chocolate for me & Kannon) & watching a good holiday flick as a family. Those little moments are always my favorite/most memorable every year which goes to show that you don’t have to do extravagant activities to make the holidays special!

3. Holiday Baking

Growing up, baking with my mom & grandma was a yearly tradition. When I moved away, this became a little bit harder to accomplish since all of us live in separate states. I’m so excited that this year we will all be reunited to make my grandma’s caramels, caramel corn & my mom’s homemade hot chocolate! I’ll be sharing all of those recipes with you guys as well as some cute photos next week so stay tuned for that. I’m really excited to give you a little peek into my life & share a glimpse of the most special women in my life.

4. Christmas Lights

I am basically a child when it comes to Christmas & driving around to look at Christmas lights never gets old for me. I genuinely love it so much & look forward to it every year! I try to convince my family to go with me multiple times throughout the season but their love for Christmas lights might only run deep enough for one evening 😉 This year we’re also going on a Christmas train & I’m so excited to do that with our boys because I know they’re going to love it!

5. A Christmas Story

All growing up, my grandma would read us ‘A Christmas Carol’ on Christmas Eve. She has been reading it every Christmas Eve since my mom was little & it’s become such a fun tradition. Even if we were out of town, we would make sure to call her to read it to us because she is so animated when she reads it & it’s just not the same if someone else attempts to read it! It’s such a special thing for all of us & Christmas Eve just wouldn’t be the same without it. About 4 years ago we finally recorded her reading the story so that we have it forever & I’m so thankful that we have that video as a little keepsake. Thankfully she’s still here to read it to us in person & for that I’m forever thankful 🙂

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about the Christmas traditions that mean the most to me & now I would love to hear from you guys below in the comments! Comment below what your favorite holiday traditions are!

leopard cardigan 2019

9 Leopard Cardigans You Need for Winter

819 1024 Sheridan Gregory

Okay, so let me start of by saying that you don’t need allll 9 of these leopard cardigans. Obviously that would be absurd. But you just might want one of them! I can honestly say that there is nothing cozier than a soft cardigan & leopard print is a neutral in my book so we have a win-win here.

Seriously though, I have worn this cardigan at least 10 times since I purchased it about a month ago! Don’t judge me, it’s just the perfect sweater to throw on & honestly, I’m not even a little bit embarrassed to admit it!

The exact cardigan I’m wearing is nowhere to be found online (I bought it in store at H&M though so you might be able to find it there) BUT I did search the internet high & low to find the best leopard cardigans of the year for you guys & after a strenuous search, I narrowed my favorites down to these select 9. You’re welcome 😉

zara blazer

10 Blazers You Need for Fall

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

I have always loved blazers. So much so in fact that I tried one on with my sister in law the other day & she said “well, it screams Sheridan!” AKA everyone I know is aware of my love for them. I have bought a couple recently & have a few more on my wishlist so I thought I would put together a list of my favorites for you ladies. I love how you can dress blazers up or throw one on over a t shirt & jeans to elevate your look. They’re such a staple piece to have in your wardrobe & I truly believe that everyone should own at least one.

Most all of these are very affordable but high quality & you know I love a good deal.

10 Blazers You Need for Fall

– This camel blazer will be a staple in my closet for years to come. The quality is incredible & the fit is a bit oversized without being boxy.

– I fell in love with this plaid blazer the second I saw it in store but since they didn’t have my size, I ordered it online. I sized down in this (wearing a 0) & prefer the smaller size so that it’s not too oversized.

– I love the deep red weaved throughout this blazer. It’s subtle but gorgeous & would be perfect for Thanksgiving or any fall occasion!

– This emerald green blazer is beautiful. I love the more relaxed fit & think it would be gorgeous over pants, skirts or dresses.

– The gold buttons on this blazer + the cut of it make this the perfect blazer.

– I love the idea of a plaid blazer, especially for the holiday season & this one caught my eye the second I saw it. Such a good fit!

– This belted blazer looks great worn with the belt & without! I think this is going to be my next purchase. Thoughts?

– I hadn’t seen many velour blazers this season but I love this one & think the fit + the fabric are perfect for winter.

– You guys know I’m all about comfort & this sweater blazer is right up my alley! I love that it is comfortable while still having a great shape to it so that it’s flattering on.

– If you love the oversize look, this blue check blazer would be perfect for you. I love the color combination & the fact that you can dress is up or down depending on your style or the occasion!

5 Things I’m Loving This Week | #1

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

This summer I have discovered so many different products that I can’t get enough of & I figured it was time to get back into sharing my favorites with you all. This series will be a quick read & will feature the products I’m loving every week with a brief description of the product & why I love them. Sounds simple? Well, quite frankly it is! But like I said, I have discovered so many great products & feel like this is the easiest way for me to put them in one place for you all to find. So with all of that said, below are this week’s favorite products!

1.) Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette

I spoke about this palette on my Instagram stories recently but in case you missed those, I have put this palette in my all-time favorites category. I personally think this is the perfect palette & if I could only use one palette forever, this would be the one. I know, that’s a bold statement but the color range includes every color you could possibly ever need to create a million different eye looks. If you haven’t seen this one yet, you need to check it out!

2.) Ultimate Blending Brush

This is another thing I spoke about on my stories recently (if you’re not following along yet, head on over for all of the fun!) but it’s just too good to not share on here with you all. This brush has a  $6 price tag & works wonders! Seriously, it blends like a dream & you won’t be disappointed. It’s great for foundation but I have recently started using it with my bronzer/blush & it blends them out flawlessly. I can’t recommend this one enough!

3.) Essential Lip Enhancer Shine Balm

This formula is absolutely unreal. I personally feel like Jouer can do no wrong but they 100% smashed this one out of the park! I have incredibly dry lips & so I knew these would be right up my alley. What I didn’t realize was how buttery soft they would leave my lips & how beautiful every shade in the range would be. I posted a video swatching these on my IGTV for any of you interested in seeing the colors in action!

4.) Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil

I have used this product on and off for years now & I recently started using it again because my skin aged rapidly this summer. Sounds slightly dramatic, I know, but the wrinkles on my forehead & in between my brows became terribly noticeable & I didn’t love that. This makes such a huge difference in my fine lines & if you know me in real life, I can guarantee I’ve recommended it to you because I feel that strongly about it. Moral of the story, if you want to diminish the appearance of fine lines, this one is for you. The price tag is a bit steeper on this one ($105 for a full bottle/ $55 for a mini) BUT a little goes a long way AND it’s much more affordable than botox, just sayin!

5.) & Sleeping Beauty Purifying Mousse

Apparently I just didn’t take very good care of my skin this summer because this on has been a necessity as of late as well. Hey, you win some, you lose some! I’m happy that I have found incredible skincare products that save my skin when it’s looking a little drab. I have been applying this mousse a few times a week at night to help clear & brighten up my skin. I absolutely love how healthy my skin looks when I wake up in the morning & can’t recommend this enough if you have texture & dullness.

Those are the 5 products I’m loving this week & I hope you guys have enjoyed this post. Stay tuned for next week & make sure to comment below with 1 product you guys have been loving so we can share the love. Thanks for reading!
