No matter the season, it’s always nice to feel like you’ve just gotten back from a tropical vacation… who doesn’t want that nice golden tan? That’s why I love using self-tanner. Not only is it WAY better for your skin, but it also does the trick in giving me that ‘I just got back from an island getaway’ bronze that we’re all striving for. I always feel more confident when my skin has a bit of color to it, but to be honest, not all self-tanners are made the same. So, if you’re like me and struggle to find a self-tanner that either doesn’t smell horrible or leave you looking like an Oompa Loompa, then here are my favorite self-tanning products…
If you haven’t heard about the St. Tropez x Ashley Graham collab, then I’m here to tell you that it totally lives up to the hype! It doesn’t have that weird fake tan smell, and it is the perfect golden shade that gives you a glow! I love that you can actually see where you’re applying it so it doesn’t get streaky, and develops into a natural, long-lasting tan.
I like to tan my face so that it matches the rest of my body, and this bronzing face mist is so easy to use and does the trick! I just spray it on my face before bed and wake up with the most natural-looking golden tan. It also doesn’t have a weird smell or cause any irritation to my skin. I feel like whenever I use this product I don’t have to wear as much makeup, and is great for those no-makeup days!
Another one of my favorite self-tanning products are the Isle of Paradise tanning drops. You just mix them with your moisturizer and apply as you normally would. What I like about these drops is that they can be used on your face and body, and you can customize the shade by applying more or fewer drops. If you want something a little less maintenance, then I’d suggest these drops since they can just be added to your everyday routine. I tend to use them when I’m in a hurry or during the winter months when I want more of a subtle tan.
