Easter 2014

Easter 2014

 This is just
a little peek into our Easter this year. Unfortunately Kannon has been
sick for 4 days with fever & I started feeling sick yesterday as
well. So we spent our Easter in pajamas munching on our yummy goodies
the Easter Bunny brought us πŸ˜‰ We decided we are going to still dress up
in our Easter best & take photos though when everyone is on the
mend this week so stay tuned for those!
 Back to the
baskets though.. Growing up, our Easter baskets were always very
extravagant (some say it was the Easter Bunny but we all know it was my
mom going all out, she always goes all out for any holiday & I’m trying to follow in her footsteps:)). We
usually spend Easter with my family but this year we all were apart
& it was slightly unusual. I’m glad we at least had the 3 of us
together!  Anyways, we usually have a ton of candy in our baskets but
with Kannon now, we try to get other things. As you can see above, we
have books & little toys & some healthier bunny fruit snacks
& grahams. We obviously still have sweet goodies (it is tradition
after all), just not as much as we normally have.
I also
wanted to do something sweet for our family members that we couldn’t
spend the day with & so I made some amazing cards from Treat greeting cards!  If
you haven’t heard of Treat, they are apart of Shutterfly & basically
the greatest creation everrrr. I am always going off about how I order
everything online & couldn’t be happier that I can now order custom
cards online as well. Shopping for cards at the store is so last year…
I mean, who has time for that!? I sure don’t! Plus, they have THE cutest cards & they are so easy to make. Who doesn’t love that? Especially when they have adorable photos of a baby in bunny ears πŸ™‚ You can bet that I’ll be purchasing all of my future cards from Treat
!
What are some of your Easter traditions? Do you guys do Easter baskets? As much as we love the whole Easter Bunny thing, we are religious & spend the day thinking about how blessed we are & how thankful we are for our Savior, Jesus Christ, & the atoning sacrifice He made for us. That is the true meaning of Easter & is definitely not overlooked in our home! Whether you celebrate Easter or not, I hope you all had a wonderful day! Sending love to you all!
