Updated Skincare Routine

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

One of my most frequently asked questions is, “What skincare products do you use!?” So here I am, sharing my updated skincare routine with you because most of these products are almost used up & I wanted to share them before I start trying new ones!

I love trying out new products & finding which ones work really well & are worth the purchase for you. I’ve been using these products for 6 months & you can hear me chat all about them in this video here!

Products Used:

-This Farmacy Cleansing Balm feels so luxurious on the skin & removes makeup like a dream. I’m ranking this up there with my holy grail Elemis Cleansing Balm!

-This Boscia Resurfacing Treatment Toner has really helped the appearance of my skin texture. I’ve actually been using this product or longer than 6 months. so it will last you a long time!

-This eye cream from Farmacy is very hydrating & really helps to brighten up the undereye! I love to use this one in the mornings to help me look more awake.

-I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this Boscia B12 Serum but man oh man, I have fallen in love with this product! It has made such a major difference with my dry skin & I can’t recommend it if you have normal, dry or dry patches that need some added hydration!

-I had this anti-aging moisturizer sitting in my skincare drawer & finally decided to give it a try.. Now I wish I would have used it earlier because it is SO GOOD! It makes my skin look healthy & gives that perfect glow!

-I have been using this face oil for almost a year now & it works so well with my skin, I look forward to using it day & night. This one is a bit more pricey ($100) but if you have the ability, I highly recommend trying this one out. It lasts a very long time & the quality of this product is incredible!

-Last but not least is this little facial roller. I wasn’t sure if these little tools made much of a difference until I started using this daily. Boy was I wrong! This facial roller has become my favorite part of my skincare routine (hello, self-care!) & I can visibly see the difference in my skin since I started using it. Not only does it help with depuffing, but it also helps my products sink deeper into the skin, promotes collagen production & in turn, helps the appearance of my fine lines. Can’t recommend this enough!

edible beauty review

7 Edible Beauty Favorites

819 1024 Sheridan Gregory

I have raved about Edible Beauty products for over 2 years now & I’m honestly shocked that I haven’t put together a post with my favorites until now. Let me start this post off by giving you a little background on how my love for Edible Beauty began. Yes, this is a skincare love story of sorts.. But don’t worry, it will be worth the quick read because I know you will love this brand as much as I do.

I was first introduced to this clean beauty brand when they were prepping to launch in Sephora here in the US a couple of years ago. I was reached out to via email to work with them on a social post promoting their US launch & I was instantly intrigued by their story, clean products & their beautiful Australian aesthetic. (Keep in mind, this post is in no way sponsored!)

Now, since I always try out products before promoting them (ALWAYS!), they were kind enough to send me over a package full of their products & when I say that I instantly fell in love with their products, I’m not exaggerating whatsoever! I have repurchased their products repeatedly & recommend them to everyone I know. So without further ado, here are the products I have repurchased but keep in mind, every product I have tried from Edible Beauty has been absolutely incredible!

Snowflower Illuminating Face Oil

This oil is a holy grail skincare product for me. I have tried quite a few oils over the years & this is the first one that doesn’t make my skin break out. This leaves my skin looking luminous, hydrated & even helps lessen the appearance of my fine lines.

& Sleeping Beauty Purifying Mousse

This pink-clay sleep mask is a must have for every skin type! It purifies, brightens, revitalizes your skin & you will wake up in the morning with any blemishes diminished & radiant skin. Honestly, I can’t recommend this enough for anyone who has acne or just gets an occasional spot, it works wonders!

Turmeric Beauty Latte

This product is perfect if you’re experiencing any dark spots or blemishes. I use this morning & night to help combat my melasma & any dark spots that I have from old spots. I 100% notice a difference when I use this product regularly & love that it’s not a harsh chemical bleaching my skin because it’s a completely natural product!

Coco Bliss Intensive Repair

If you have dry skin or are experiencing dry skin due to weather changes or different circumstances, this product is for you! I use it as a moisturizer because I have extremely dry skin but you can use this as a sleep mask for added hydration. I noticed the biggest difference in the texture of my skin when I started using this product!

Exotic Goddess Ageless Serum

This serum is beyond incredible! Just look at all of those 5 star reviews! This youth-boosting serum is a must have in my opinion. It minimizes fine lines & wrinkles leaving your skin looking plum & smooth. This is the product that I have repurchased the most from Edible Beauty & if you try it you’ll understand why!

Citrus Rhapsody Toner Mist

This toner mist is so lovely, I find myself wanting to spritz my face a few times a day. It is soothing, hydrating & calming. Plus, I love that it comes as a mist because application is incredibly easy!

Vanilla Silk Hydrating Lotion

I typically use the Coco Bliss Intensive Repair Cream both day & night because I have such dry skin, but this lotion is wonderful for all skin types! It’s hydrating & wears beautifully under makeup.

I hope this post was helpful for all of you looking to try out Edible Beauty products. I genuinely can’t recommend this brand enough & know all of you will love it as much as I do. Feel free to send any other questions you have about this brand my way & I will be more than happy to chat skincare with you!

Current Skincare Routine & Favorites

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

I’m going to be honest, I filmed this video over a month ago & just never got around to posting it with how busy the holidays were. BUT that doesn’t matter because I’m still using these same exact products (some I have repurchased recently because they work wonders) so this is still my current skincare routine! I have added a few more goodies into the mix recently though, so I’ll list those for you guys as well! Enjoy the breakdown below of all the products that make up my current skincare regimen.

First up is this age-defying exfoliator that comes from Dr. Brandt, a reputable skincare line that fuses science with active botanicals to yield results that refine the texture of my skin and give me a gorgeous, healthy glow.

These toner pads from Arcona are amazing! They use white tea extract and rice milk to nourish the skin, while a little cranberry extract helps to clarify & protect my skin with its essential fatty-acids, and vitamin-rich composition.

Also from Arcona, I am in love with this  activating essence. It’s perfect for a boost of rehydration, while it also helps to improve the elasticity & overall complexion of my skin.

If you haven’t tried Edible Beauty products yet, it’s never too late to jump on the bandwagon! And I promise you won’t regret it. This Australian company uses pure, organic ingredients, which yield products that are so “clean” you could eat them. Vegan, hypoallergenic, & cruelty-free, what better product to put on your skin?! Right now I am obsessed with a couple different products:

First, this illuminating face oil is a great solution for dry skin, uneven texture, & loss of elasticity. It’s nourishing, rejuvenating, & supports natural collagen production to make my face look bright & radiant.

Next up is this intensive repair night cream. Deeply nourishing & moisturizing, this cream soothes dryness, redness, & irritation, & helps to boost the firmness of my skin.

And finally we have this ageless serum, which helps to reverse all my fine lines & wrinkles by charging them with antioxidants, SPF, & some of Edible Beauty’s wild-crafted botanical magic.

Another brand that I am using a lot of lately is Elemis. This company is the #1 luxury brand in Britain, & uses a combination of cutting-edge science & ingredients sourced from nature,  to produce ground-breaking & innovative skincare formulas. Here are the Elemis products that I’m currently super into:

This pro-collagen anti-wrinkle eye cream is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines & nourish the area around the eyes. It also uses an anti-oxidant derived from seaweed to lock in moisture & produce smooth & firm skin.

I cannot express how much I love this super cleansing treatment balm! Another pro-collagen product (I’m obsessed), this balm helps to dissolve makeup & other daily skin residue, leaving me with a complexion that is intensely clean & full of natural glow.

And last but not least, I heavily rely on this reviving peptide eye cream. This product targets dark circles & puffiness, making my eyes look bright, well-rested, all the while improving the elasticity & firmness of my skin.

Now that you have all the details be sure to test out these products for yourself, and get the gorgeous, youthful, glowing complexion you’ve always dreamed about!

5 Moisturizers for Summer (& Any Time of the Year)

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

Our skin has so many important functions, guys. It regulates body temperature, allows us to sense touch, and it shields us from microbes and harmful elements. As the largest organ of the human body, it is mind-blowing that so many of us tend to dismiss skincare as a vanity need rather than view it as a necessity for human health. Especially in the summertime, when excessive heat and air conditioning can easily dehydrate our skin, it is so important not only to protect our skin but to keep it hydrated and moisturized. You guys know I’m skincare obsessed & I will forever be stressing the importance of taking care of your skin! There are so many products out there that boast being the best at giving your skin the moisture it needs, but after trying many (& I mean MANY!) products, here are my top 5 favorite moisturizers for summer!

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer

This is my go-to morning moisturizer! The scent is so invigorating and the perfect way to wake up and start the day. The lightweight gel-cream sinks into my skin so quickly & is perfect to go under makeup. It instantly hydrates my skin without the use of parabens or animal ingredients (yay for safe animals!), while the ginseng and coffee bean do wonders to boost my skin’s radiance, leaving me feeling refreshed and restored in the early morning.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

If you didn’t know already, I’m obsessed with all things collagen. This product is an anti-wrinkle day cream with SPF 30 (there is also a version without SPF & a night Cream), perfect for aging skin. It is very hydrating without being too heavy and gives my skin a beautiful, healthy, glow. Since I’ve started using it, I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin’s suppleness and elasticity that I lacked before (bye bye forehead wrinkles!). I may still be young (to most people) but as I age, I am definitely using more products to help prevent and rewind the aging process. Though it’s a little on the pricey side, it is worth every single penny to get that firm, youthful, glow!

Edible Beauty Coco Bliss Intensive Repair

This moisturizer is a holy grail for me because I have insanely dry skin! I love, love, love this brand because every product is made with clean ingredients; so clean you could literally eat it (hence the name), although not recommended haha!  This moisturizer’s formula is intensely nourishing, and designed to reduce redness and irritation, all the while, giving me that rejuvenated glow. Coco Bliss uses a combination of botanical antioxidants along with calming shea and coco butters to trigger the skin’s natural collagen production, while vitamins B, C, and E do their parts to promote brightened, youthful skin.  While this is a heavier cream, it absorbs into the skin nicely and can be used both morning and night.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

This is an oldie but a goodie. Both Adam and I used this product as our go-to moisturizer for years. Not only is it perfect for all skin types, but a little bit goes a long way, and it can be used both on the face and body. This daily-use product uses colloidal oatmeal (soothing), Shea butter, avocado and meadowfoam seed oils, and antioxidants, to keep my skin super hydrated and protected against environmental aggravators. Paraben and sulfate free, this moisturizer leaves my skin feeling silky, smooth, and hydrated.

Korres Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturizer

Clearly, I love a good cream-gel! I love how lightweight it is, and also the fact that it dries down to a matte finish.  Made with 15% pomegranate water and extract, this moisturizer helps to minimize the look of my pores while also hydrating and balancing my skin. While this is actually targeted toward oily or combination skin, I use it on my dry skin and absolutely love it!

Like I said above, there are SO many products out there to help protect and enhance our skin. I realize that sometimes the number of choices and all the information out there can be overwhelming (downright intimidating sometimes) and turn skincare into a regimen we’d rather ignore. But the more we let our skin dry out, sunburn, and be exposed to the environment, the more we need to hydrate and protect ourselves from aging, skin ailments, and disease! So if you take anything from this post, PLEASE feed your skin the moisture it needs, especially during the hot summer season, when you need it most!

Now tell me, what is one of your favorite moisturizers for summer?

properly exfoliate

How To Properly Exfoliate

683 1024 Sheridan Gregory

When it comes to beauty tips and tricks, one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the last year surrounds exfoliation and how to properly exfoliate. Prior to learning the right steps, I’d harshly rub my face with a washcloth or use intense beaded scrubs (which — turns out — are horrible for your skin). But after doing a little research and experiencing more facials, I think I’ve finally got it down!

What is exfoliation?

First off, it’s important to know why exfoliation is key (and what exactly it is!). Bottom line: it’s removing dead skin cells and aiding in turnover of those cells. You could apply all the oils and lotions and serums you want, but if you don’t have a fresh complexion to apply to, those products won’t go further than surface level. And I’m not just talking about your face (though that’s the main point of this article) — your body should also be exfoliated using a body brush or something similar.

I know I’ve had some confusion with things like Clarisonics and whether those truly exfoliate, and turns out, they’re not enough. Those are more for clearing out pores and residue — they aren’t turning over skin cells on their own. Also, as you read this, please know that you shouldn’t use one of the exfoliants with a Clarisonic or a similar device. Those devices can be used often, but should only mix with a very gentle cleanser (like this one).

How often should you exfoliate?

I’ve heard multiple answers to the question of “how often,” but what works for me personally is 2-3 times a week — which my facialist agreed with. This way, you’re properly turning over your cells, but your skin has time to adjust and heal. If you have sensitive skin, you may even try 1x a week to start.

As for when in your day to do it, I prefer nighttime. Once in awhile, my skin will get a little pink after the process (but in a good, flushed way) — plus, I live for the feeling of an exfoliated face followed by alllll the face products. I know, I live an exciting life you guys!

What products should I use?

And now for the best part — the products I love. Like I mentioned above, you definitely want to stay away from anything harsh. Even if you suffer from dry flaky skin, do your best to ignore anything that seems like it’ll strip your skin. I promise that after your skin gets used to an exfoliation routine, your struggles with dead skin will be a distant memory anyways.

OK, but back to products…I personally like to switch up how I exfoliate. Some weeks I’m really craving a mask, other times I just want a simple cleanser to do the work. Up to you!

Face Masks — Face masks feel lux and usually multi-task, so I definitely don’t skip my Sunday masks. Here are some favorites: Ole Henriksen and my new favorite, ARCONA.

Cleansers — Some people use a cleanser like this daily, but like I said, I choose something a few times a week. These shouldn’t be too harsh if you choose to use daily, though: KORRES (I love the whole Vitamin C line from them!) and Philosophy

Treatments/scrubs — Always read the label on these guys because some are more serious than others aka you might only use it once a month or something. But these are amazing: ExfoliKate & the gentle version is incredible for sensitive skin!

Facials — If you can swing it, try to head in for a facial once a month or as often as possible. They can obviously really handle exfoliating. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend Kate Somerville!

After you’re done exfoliating, it’s then time to go into your full nightly (or daily) skincare routine. After a couple weeks of adding this step to your program, you’ll notice your products working even better since they’ll be absorbed.

Let me know if you have any questions! Also, which products do you swear by when it comes to exfoliating? Comment below!

BioRepublic Sheet Mask Review

Sheet Mask Review

1024 683 Sheridan Gregory

Dr.Jart+ Sheet Mask Review BioRepublic Sheet Mask ReviewKorean skincare is everywhere these days & I absolutely love how accessible it is becoming! Sheet masks are some of my favorite things to pamper myself with during my at-home spa nights so I put together a little sheet mask review of the ones I’ve been using lately. Let’s just jump right in!!

-BioRepublic Cucumber Breeze-

A soothing mask that smells fresh from the natural cucumber extract & helped soothe my red skin after a charcoal mask. I like that this mask has Vitamin E in it & that it’s paraben free!

-Leaders Insolution Collagen Boosting-

These are the sheet masks I use the most! My good friend Angela introduced me to these last year & I love the way they make my skin feel. Although I’m only 25, I can tell that my skin is starting to age & these help to make my skin feel & look more plump. AKA helping my fine lines look less apparent!

-BioRepublic Lost Baggage Eye Masks-

My undereye area is prone to being dry & because of that, tends to look more wrinkled than the rest of my face. I love these because they pack a ton of moisture, which helps my concealer go on smoother. Another plus is that they help with undereye bags, helping you look more awake, even when you haven’t had the best nights sleep!

-Dr. Jart+ All That Contours-

This mask is supposed to help lift skin & improve elasticity. I’m going to be completely honest, I didn’t like this sheet mask at all. After removing it, my skin didn’t feel hydrated at all & just felt really sticky. I personally won’t be purchasing again because I like other Dr. Jart masks a lot better!

-Dr. Jart+ Pore Master Patch-

This is a two step system that is designed to help remove those pesky nose blackheads. While these didn’t remove all of my blackheads (I honestly haven’t found anything that truly removes them all), it did help to get rid of the majority of mine!

-BioRepublic No More Years-

I love that this mask has hyaluronic acid in it! This one helps with the appearance of fine lines & also hydrates your skin. I would definitely suggest giving these ones a try!

-Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist-

I absolutely LOVE charcoal masks! This is the first charcoal sheet mask I’ve ever tried & I really liked the results. Charcoal helps clean out your pores & help with blemishes. I honestly do a charcoal mask at least 1-2 times a week & really notice a difference in my skin.

-BioRepublic Green Tea Detox-

This mask is great for a basic cleaning of pores & for a boost of hydration. While these types of masks might seem more “basic” than the others, I love to use these on the regular. They leave your skin feeling clean, soft & incredibly hydrated!

-Dr. Jart+ Brightening Infusion-

One of my biggest issues with my skin is that it can look very dull at times. While this mask isn’t a miracle worker (it doesn’t get rid of my dark spots or make any drastic improvements), it definitely makes your skin feel hydrated & look more awake. I will say though that I don’t like how it comes in 2 pieces. This is one of those masks where you need to lay down in order for it to stay put.

There are so many sheet masks on the market these days! These are just the ones I’ve been trying out recently. Do you have a favorite sheet mask that I should try!?
