5 Christmas Traditions

819 1024 Sheridan Gregory

*Special thanks to Zappos for sponsoring this post!

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise that Christmas is my favorite holiday. If you’ve followed along for a little while now, you know that I love celebrating this time of year & I love the little traditions we have. These 5 Christmas traditions are my absolute favorite part of the holiday season & some of them might come across as very basic but I genuinely love celebrating in the most simple ways!

1. Christmas Pajamas & Slippers

This is a tradition that I’ve done my entire life thanks to my momma & I look forward to it every year. There is something so fun about getting new pajamas & it’s such a simple way to get into the holiday spirit! The past few years I’ve added to the pajama tradition & thrown in a new pair of slippers for all of us because I am obsessed with cozy slippers. I seem to have passed that obsession down to my boys as well because they love cozy slippers just as much as I do & get so excited to wear them! We were all so excited to partner with Zappos this holiday season to celebrate their 20th Anniversary & share this exclusive color of UGG that are only available on – They are beyond comfortable & I love this fun navy variation! These would make the perfect gift so head on over to check them out if you or anyone you know is interested in cozy slippers or shoes!

2. Christmas Movies

We watch as many holiday movies as we can throughout the month of December & I never get sick of them! We love all of the classics, as well as all of the cheesy Hallmark & Netflix movies that come out every year. You can find us curled up on the couch most evenings eating popcorn, drinking hot chocolate (white hot chocolate for me & Kannon) & watching a good holiday flick as a family. Those little moments are always my favorite/most memorable every year which goes to show that you don’t have to do extravagant activities to make the holidays special!

3. Holiday Baking

Growing up, baking with my mom & grandma was a yearly tradition. When I moved away, this became a little bit harder to accomplish since all of us live in separate states. I’m so excited that this year we will all be reunited to make my grandma’s caramels, caramel corn & my mom’s homemade hot chocolate! I’ll be sharing all of those recipes with you guys as well as some cute photos next week so stay tuned for that. I’m really excited to give you a little peek into my life & share a glimpse of the most special women in my life.

4. Christmas Lights

I am basically a child when it comes to Christmas & driving around to look at Christmas lights never gets old for me. I genuinely love it so much & look forward to it every year! I try to convince my family to go with me multiple times throughout the season but their love for Christmas lights might only run deep enough for one evening 😉 This year we’re also going on a Christmas train & I’m so excited to do that with our boys because I know they’re going to love it!

5. A Christmas Story

All growing up, my grandma would read us ‘A Christmas Carol’ on Christmas Eve. She has been reading it every Christmas Eve since my mom was little & it’s become such a fun tradition. Even if we were out of town, we would make sure to call her to read it to us because she is so animated when she reads it & it’s just not the same if someone else attempts to read it! It’s such a special thing for all of us & Christmas Eve just wouldn’t be the same without it. About 4 years ago we finally recorded her reading the story so that we have it forever & I’m so thankful that we have that video as a little keepsake. Thankfully she’s still here to read it to us in person & for that I’m forever thankful 🙂

I hope you guys enjoyed reading about the Christmas traditions that mean the most to me & now I would love to hear from you guys below in the comments! Comment below what your favorite holiday traditions are!

A classic BodyCon dress is a staple in my wardrobe. This black BodyCon dress isn’t maternity but I love that I can wear it when I’m not pregnant, as well as when I was 39 weeks pregnant 🙂 You guys know that I love to get as much wear out of my clothes as possible. & this draped trench vest is a current favorite of mine & is on sale for $46!

While this specific dress is a couple years old, I found the exact same dress but in a short sleeve version. I actually wore the short sleeved version in purple for my maternity photos that I’ll be posting soon! This dress is beyond comfortable & at $48, it’s a great deal 🙂

You know those pieces that you’re instantly drawn to? This pom pom dress was definitely one of those pieces for me. The second I saw it, I knew I had to have it & for under $60, it was a total steal! For those of you wondering, it’s not maternity but works for both maternity & non maternity alike. I have a major feeling that this dress will sell out quickly though, so if you’re wanting to snag one, I would purchase soon!

These lace up heels & this fringe clutch are clearly on repeat these days. I think they’re both perfect for Spring/Summer & the fringe & lace up detail add a fun addition to any look. Also, this spiked bangle is my new go-to classic. It comes in a pack of 3 with one rose gold, one silver & one gold so you can wear them altogether or separately like I did with this look. If you couldn’t tell, I’m loving fun accessories lately! I feel like finding clothes that fit these days is much harder (hello 33 week baby bump!) & the addition of fun accessories makes me feel put together. I know, it’s the little things in life 🙂

A classic white on white look is one of my all time favorite combinations. There is something so clean & chic about all white that just makes me happy. Although I wouldn’t recommend all white for all occasions.. It’s the perfect look for date night, girls night out & especially an all white party. Just make sure to dress responsibly people 🙂

The second I saw this white lace dress, I fell in love with it. I’m so bummed that it is selling out so quickly (grab one before they’re all gone!) but I found a couple other lace dresses that are perfect for Spring/Summer that I posted below. If your wardrobe needs one special piece this season, I sincerely think it’s a white lace dress. You can’t beat the classic look of both white & lace combined!

These lace up heels have been on my radar for a little while now & I’m so happy I finally made the purchase. They come in 4 colors & I’m strongly debating buying the caramel color now as well. They’re comfortable, easy to walk in & the perfect style to dress up or down for warmer weather. I always love to get your guys input so.. Is it completely overkill to have 2 colors of the same shoe? Which color is your favorite!?

If it wasn’t obvious already, I have a thing for lace up details. Whether it’s lace up dresses, sweaters or shoes, I can’t get enough of them! I realize my last post featured a lace up dress & now I’m featuring a lace up sweater, but you win some & lose some. In all reality though, this is just a win-win situation because both the dress & the sweater are perfect pieces for Spring! Plus, while this lace up sweater sold out really fast, I found an identical one & it’s on sale for $25! You guys know I love a good deal & I had to share that one with you!

This week has been incredibly busy so far & I’m really looking forward to a relaxing weekend. While I haven’t been walking as much, we’ve been exploring the city & shooting some fun content that I can’t wait to share with you guys very soon! I can’t believe baby boy #2 will be here in 2 months or less! I honestly haven’t even started preparing or buying things.. Adam says I’ve hit my nesting stage though since I’m getting so antsy about getting everything ready for his arrival. I guess it’s time for me to start getting everything ready! Do you guys have any fun plans for the weekend? Am I the only one looking forward to two full days of relaxing!?

I know I keep saying it but the weather here in NYC just doesn’t feel like Spring yet. I can’t wait for the day that I can wear Spring clothes! Crossing my fingers that happens soon because I have some fun dresses I am dying to wear before my belly gets too big to fit in them:)

I wore this look the other day & if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know that I love mixing staple pieces to create new looks. I love having a wardrobe built around easy to wear pieces because it makes getting dressed on those “I have nothing to wear” days, much easier. This chambray & white denim look is perfect for Spring & if you’re lucky enough to live in warmer weather, just ditch the camel coat. I was so happy to break out these new white jeans from DSTLD! I love a good pair of white jeans & think that they can brighten up any outfit (or a gloomy day in this case). These jeans don’t have a ton of stretch, so if you’re looking to purchase, I would definitely size up. Also, this bag is my absolute favorite & I have been wearing it nonstop. I’m debating getting another color because I love it that much! Which color is your favorite??

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had a great weekend! My husband has been filming & I love that he’s had the weekends off so we can have mini adventures & explore together. The time we get to spend together as a little family is always my absolute favorite. Plus, I always get excited that another week has passed because that’s one more week closer to meeting this little love in my belly! Less than 11 weeks to go guys!!

Now onto this dress — If you guys couldn’t tell, I love the brand Yumi Kim. Their feminine dresses are some of my absolute favorites & the patterns are always gorgeous. While this periwinkle mini wrap dress may have fit me a little bit better pre-pregnancy, or even just a couple of months ago, I just had to wear it. I love the long billowy sleeves against the shorter hem of the dress. It just screams feminine to me & is perfect for Spring & Summer. You better believe I’ll be pulling this one out again once baby boy is born in June! On a side note, I didn’t love the fact that I had to wear tights with this look because it kind of took away from the Spring feel but when the winds are blowing at 25mph, you gotta do what you’ve gotta do! I would definitely suggest wearing this with bare legs 😉

Also, I’ve been asked by numerous people to start including some posts on motherhood & pregnancy. Let me know what kind of content you want to see in those & I will start prepping them! Feel free to comment below or send me an email ( with any post suggestions (motherhood, beauty, fashion, skincare, food). I love hearing from you guys & getting content up that you’re all interested in viewing 🙂

The mini dress obsession continues.. While the weather has been warm here in NYC lately, it’s still way too cold for me to be sporting bare legs (plus, I could possibly blind you guys with how pale I am these days :)). I know, I’m a wimp when it comes to colder weather & talk about it far too frequently. When you’re born & raised in Arizona and then move to Southern California when you’re 17, that’s just expected. Back to this look though! I talked about it a couple posts ago but I’m loving mini dresses these days! When I saw this floral mini dress from Zappos, I knew it would be perfect for transitioning into Spring here in NYC. The long sleeves keep me warm enough on cool days & I love that it’s a bit longer in the back so if you’re not wearing pants, you don’t have to worry about anything showing. & on another note, I honestly can’t get enough of Zappos fast shipping & free returns. Especially with this growing baby bump of mine (I’m just about 29 weeks & this little boy is growing rapidly!). I never know what will fit these days & I love being able to order multiple sizes & just send back whichever size doesn’t fit. (PS. this dress fits true to size!) I am constantly scrolling through their app to see what’s new & I love that it’s so easy to transition from season to season because they carry so many different brands & styles. Major win, win in my opinion!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! Thanks for following along!

The weather here in NYC has been a little crazy lately. We’ll have warmer weather one day (& by warm, I mean maybe 50 degrees) & then the next it will be freezing, raining & crazy windy. While I’m not quite used to this weather yet, I am loving experiencing different seasons. Who doesn’t like to snuggle up inside on a cold & rainy day while eating stovetop s’mores!?

Although the weather isn’t feeling like Spring quite yet, I’m getting excited to start transitioning my wardrobe. This fringe Rebecca Minkoff bag & these Lucky Brand tan booties are giving me all sorts of happy, Springtime vibes. I love the texture of both of these pieces & got SO many compliments on these booties (from both men & women!) I think the perfect way to add a little ‘spring’ in your step (you like what I did there? 😉 is to add some fun, eye catching pieces to your look. I absolutely love shopping at because you get fast free shipping AND returns. That is key for me because ordering online can be a bit intimidating at times & I love knowing that if something doesn’t work, I can send it back free & easy for another size! Plus, they have an app that makes shopping straight from your phone even easier. Don’t be surprised when you see these pieces a lot in the future.. I honestly can’t get enough of them!

Oh & how perfect are these bracelets? I love the seashell & starfish because they make me feel like I have a little piece of CA with me everywhere I go. I know, I’m so cheesy but when a girl is homesick, you gotta find something to feel that void 🙂 & this rose quartz bracelet is definitely a new favorite. I hope you guys had a great week! We’re very excited for this weekend because we’re celebrating our 6 year anniversary! Hope you guys have a great one as well!
