A Book Review Introduction – One Day in December

A Book Review Introduction – One Day in December

I made a small announcement on my Instagram account recently that I’m going to start sharing about the books that I read. I am so thrilled to start talking about books with you guys because if you didn’t know, I read quite a lot & quite frankly, books are my happy place. I know that doesn’t technically make sense because books are things, not places, but I have always loved books & when I read a good book, I’m instantly transported to wherever the story takes place. That’s probably why I’m such a big fan of stories set in Europe especially!

If I ever had the opportunity, I would open up a bookstore of my own… Maybe I’ll keep that in the back of my mind if an opportunity ever arises but until then, I can’t wait to fill my bookshelves with the books I’ve been keeping in storage. Apartment life isn’t always the most conducive to having books all over the place but I’ve missed my books so they’re officially going to make an appearance once again. Hopefully more aesthetically pleasing this time around. 🙂

For those of you here for the outfit + beauty posts, don’t worry! This content will in no way be replacing the content I typically share with you but instead will be additional content on top of my typical style & beauty posts. I may have distanced myself a bit from blogging over the years but I feel happy to be back & able to share what I’m passionate about. This industry has changed so much since I first started blogging & somewhere along the way I forgot how much I love to blog. Not to become famous on Instagram or to make a ton of money, but to just sit down & write out a post to all of you. It’s been difficult to navigate the many social media platforms but for now, I’m simply going to forget about all of that & post because I love creating content.

I hope you’re all doing well & having a lovely start to your December. (I still can’t believe we’re almost through 2020!) I chose the book One Day in December by Josie Silver to start this all off because obviously, it’s a holiday book haha. This was such a cute book! If you’re looking for an easy read, cute love story & feel-good book, definitely give this one a read. The writing really showed attention to detail and I loved that the plot wasn’t the typical cheesy Rom-Com. A must-read holiday book in my opinion!

*Quick Note: I’m linking this book below but if at all possible, I always recommend purchasing from local independent book stores. If that’s not possible for you at the moment, I appreciate you purchasing through my links! As a disclaimer, I make a very small commission on purchases made through my links with no additional charge to you. 🙂
